Door seal

Is it possible to get a passenger door seal for 1983 Cabrolet. The seal for  the window on the pillar is split.

If your talking about the long door seal rubber that goes all around the door, then that one is really expensive from VW, I priced one up a few years ago think it was over £120 or something.

I would try and source one from a breakers yard if you can or failing that see what Ebay has to offer?

if its just the bit at the very back of the door you need, vw sell a repair kit for it which is much cheaper. you cut the old one off and glue the new one on

Hi , John. Its the rubber seal at the pillar that is Split. The seal that the passenger  door Glass seals to.

ah B pillar seal. the left one is deleted and NLA, the right one is availabe from VW classic parts for €140

if you keep em peeled they come up on ebay from time to toime, also the newer ones are redesigned and take a metal plate where they kink around the top of the front door so dont split there anymore.  pm funkstar he breaks a lot of cabbies and may have what you need
