dodgy window!

Hi all!
Right, this is my problem, for some reason unknown to me, my drivers door window is getting stuck behind the seal as I do the window up. It seems to fall back behind the rubber about 3 inches down, then as you wind it up it gets stuck….and the only way i can wind it up fully is push the top of the glass out as I wind, or open the door and do it up (neither a good idea while moving!) checked the insdie of door, and all the track and fixings seem solid and fine. Anyone have a suggestion??

Is this on a cab or tin top?

Have you had the door card off to check the glass mount on the regulator?

It seems to me that the bottom of the glass is being pushed out causing top to bind with the rubber.  I suggest you strip out the whole lot and remove the glass and inspect all the guides etc for wear, cracks etc.

Mine used to do this too.

I wedged a little block of wood in the door to stop it tilting backwards as the window went all the way down.

Think I have a piece of old widow seal in there now so it looks like it is supposed to be there… rather than a manky bit of mouldy old pine!

yeah I tried wedging something in there before, guess I put it in wrong place, I'll take it all out and put it all back in again, and then try wedging it again if I cant sort it, thanks all.
