Did the MK1 Convertible come with painted arches?
My cabby has white painted arches and front lip spoiler, just wanted to know if it was factory or if its likely someone has painted them?
I dont like them and want to source new black plastic arches, can you still get them new anywhere?

Should be painted depending on model, quartettes, cc, all white edition, all fully coded.

Being a C-reg and GTI engine it could have started life as a CC, however it would have also had white bumpers, red grill trim, CC logos on rear quarters and of course the blue CC logo'd interior.
Looking at pic there are a few dents on front panel/wings so that might explain change to the bumpers/grill?

Hmm, well some more fuel for the fire….
The interior has been retrimmed with black vinyl and some really nasty looking material that looks like a 70's sofa. The seats are also fixed height, I thought Mk1 seats were height adjustable?
The grille was originally red and has been painted black, you can see in some patches.
The rear quarters and rear end have been painted at some point so any badges would have probably disappeared.
However, I noticed that one of the rear arches has a patch where you can see the texture under the paint, so it looks like they have been filled, smoothed and painted.
Also, if its a CC, will it is say so on the V5?
