Decent Interior Trimmers
Only bought her a few days ago but already in love with it and just want to make it perfect as we all do!
So just wondering if anyone knows of any decent interior trimmers in the Hampshire/West Sussex area?
I'm planning on having the seats trimmed in leather and also pretty sure the drivers seat bolster foam might need redoing too.
Also wants new carpets but might get that off of eBay, wise choice? Or would it just be easier getting the trimmers to sort it if they can?
Thanks in advance, I look forward to getting to know people on these forums as it seems there are a lot of really decent people on here.

welcome aboard.
You can get good kits to do the recover yourself, Including real leather and imitation.
You could get the kit and find a trimmer to fit for you if you feel that would be the best way forward.
You could be looking up to and around the £1,000 to £1,500 mark for a full leather re trim though.
You could do a search through Google etc to find a trimmer.

Sorry for the delay.
Do you know where to buy the kits for doing it yourself?
The full re-trim is definitely more expensive than I thought ha!

It depends on what you want, leather or vynil?
A few members have bougt from a seller on E bay, with mixed results.
Again it depends on your budget too & level of ability and the state of the seats in the first place, generally the drivers side bolster tens to wear through and if left ends up with a hole in the material.
A common trick is to swap the foam bases and covers around on the seats, so the side on the drivers that gets bashed about, would be the outside of the passenger, so gets little wear. You cannot just swap seats as the seat belt fixings will be on the other sideon the seat backs you have to take into account the seat tilt levers too.

I went for the real leather option, as I heard the leatherette doesn't wear too well on the bolsters.
Quality was good. I paid £500 (for seats and door cards) and am in the process of re-trimming them myself at the mo. My thread will be updated later today with how it goes.
One small negative was that the rear and side sections of the seat covers turned up in leatherette not leather, but the bases and backs including bolsters were leather. That's ok as these bits take all the wear and tear.
Bought new seat bases and bolsters from VW and a roll of seat foam to help get a nice tight finish…..hopefully!
Website is a bit naff, but speak to Tony. Customer service was pretty good. Link below:
