Damp spare wheel well?

My mk1 has been restored and has only ventured outside for the last week in the last 2yrs. Due to the severe rain we have had the wheel well and carpets are now damp!!

What is the likely cause? Sunroof drain tubes? Rear light cluster seals? Anything else to look at?

Remedies?

i belive if its a tin top i have seen threads on here before and pretty sure its todo with the rear lights seems a common thing,

Has it had new rear arches by any chance ?
Maybe they haven't routed the rear sunroof drain pipes outside the car ??

where is the best place to route them? I'll have a look..

How much are new seals?
