Cleaning out inner arches

Hi guys im going to start sorting out my inner arches this weekend. I want to get all the built up muck out can anyone recomend anything to help?

Also what should i use after there all clean to protect them? Any good paints?

Pressure washer!  I did mine last night and the metal underneath is gleaming.

I assume any kind of underseal would be good, heard good things about waxoyl but I haven't got round to doing that yet…

yeah preasure wash them off, i wouldn't put underseal on any car it is old and not very good to use, do you need to paint it, is it down to bare metal?

Mine were half stone chipped and half oversprayed until 2 weeks ago.

I went under and jet washed off and then re stone chipped all round. I may just protect a bit more than just paint, and its over paintable…… when I get round to it.
