Chrome strip on cills
Hi. I wonder if anyone can help with a chrome trim problem?
I have a Gli Convertible that has chrome trim that runs along the the door cill. The cills need replacing but I am told I might not be able to put the chrome strips back on. Is the correct?

if the sills are being replaced with sills that do not have mounting holes in for clips that hold your trim on mate then yes, but suppose you could always add your own fitment holes (them that house square plastic mounting clips) or even use an adhesive to put em' back on :dontknow: as i wouldnt wanna start drilling holes if i didnt have to :dontknow:

Hi
No its easy
GSF sell new clips …… About ?0.20 each ……….
Simply take a 6.5mm drill and drill new holes in the new sill Before you paint [this will help with rust prevention]. Take some measurements before you whip the old sill off and you will be right . Total of 5 clips each side springs to mind . There is a natural line along the sill so the place to drill is easily measured .
Cheers……..
