Chrome strip on tailgate.

Anyone give me some advice on how to get the chrome strip on the tailgate off? it appears to be like stuck on, but not sure. and how could i get it off and still have a clean finish?

hair dryer.
warm strip up and peal off. use wd40 to remove any glue left.
