I'd be interested to know how you did that. Got any pics ?

did this the other day.
Get your black plastic handles, remove lock barrel and catch and drill out the rivet (try to keep it in good nick)that holds the door-pull lever.
Catch the spring and remove.
Do the same to the chrome handles.
On the black plastic handles, measure where the lever part is in relation to the lock barrel holder and 'pop' out the metal mech.
Cut everthing off the mech, remove the retaining screw part from the back and the lock barrel holder.
cut it all down so you just have the 'down push' mech and trial fit it in the chrome handles, measure and see how far off you are.
When all cut to fit well get out the superglue and position. the release the araldite and 'fill' in the area incasing the mech in place.
Wait for glue to cure
rebuild the handle with new rivet or old one with a bit of glue.
fit to car and test.
Now the chrome handles will not have a hole for a screw at the other end, you will need to drill a hole for one and drill it out a bit to allow a hex-head srew in.
Easier than it sounds, 30-40 per handle. do one at a time.

also you need to drille th hole as above but also then fit a litle nut at the back of the handle to secure it on the door skin (from the inside) easy to work out when you have the door in front of you - difficult to explain
