Central locking - can't get into passenger door. Help!

This morning my 84 mk1 cab refused to let me get into the passenger door. There is no 'unlocking' noise like normal when i press the key fob. Drivers door is fine. How can i get in? The door handle on the outside has been 'delocked' and smoothed over at some point and i can't work out how i'm gonna get access to release it.

Need to sort this ASAP so any help would be great!

open the door card from inside mate the whip the door card of and check the bar hasnt come off...(happen to me when i had a 325i) or if the solinoid hasnt pack up, or it might just be that the wiring has wiggled away
