I want to replace my carpet in me golf. I see crazy quiff does them.. wot do they fit like?? anybody know of any other place that does them?

cool thanx for that.. its cheeper than crazy quiffs.. but looking at crazys it looks like its kinda pre moulded and your one is carpet pieces (I fitted a new carpet in my old bug which came the same.. looked good! ) umm…. :roll: which one to go for…..

2p cheeper!! lol... so moulded or the pre cut pieces??? pros n cons... moulded got to be easyer to fit.. but seeing as i have mystery leak in the passenger foot well, not mater wot i do he still keeps coming back.. at least i could lift that bit of carpet up..

Check the firewall for a missing grommet.

no its not mate its in 2 pieces front and back like the original.

Funk-star.. if you mean have i checked for holes (technical me :wink: ) yes.. when i pull the carpets up i will get the hose pipe out… just for the record what part are you calling the firewall? :redfaced:

the bulkhead between the engine bay and the interior!
It could also be a bit of grot on the windscreen seal lip. I have it on both sides, one you can see on the outside and the other you cant.
When it's raining heavily i can watch the water trickle past the seak on the one on the drivers side lol

i think you might be right.. the windscreen seal is a bit puckered under in a few places. i will get the carpet out then have a go bit by bit with the hose pipe…

have you checked the drains in that tray over the engine bay, mine were clogged with leaves and caused water to trickle into the passenger footwell and not through the drain to the floor. As for the carpets, I could do with some myself, so thanks for the links

Yes I have and unfortunately its not that.. but thanks anyway took all my carpets up today.. it was a bit of a home made jigsaw.. stuck here and there.. not to bad underneath.. so that was good!
