Can I fit Golf VR6 mk3 door inserts fit on the mk1 golf cab?

I have owned my 1988 black golf cabriolet since July 2008. After finally locating the problem with my manifold, I am now in the process of rebuilding my car with a vengeance. I have seen some leather seats and door inserts from a golf gti vr6 and wondered if anyone knew if I would be able to use them in my cabriolet? I also need to find someone to rebuild the car so if anyone is close to London and has a passion for restoration let me know asap! my email is jasonicepr@gmail.com

do you mean the door cards, if so no mk3 ones will never fit in a million years. the front seats will fit if you swap the bases for mk2 golf 90spec ones, but the rears will not fit either without significant modifications
