Can anyone verify this Mk1 colour?

First I was told it was Baikal Blue, but then told it was Monaco Blue LA5D.
Then I bought some touch-up paint in the LA5D colour, and it seems way too dark  :dontknow:  My car's had a re-spray-BUT I've seen the same colour as my car on an original A-Reg Mk1 Golf C before, so I don't know what's going on!! I don't have Log book or sticker…

i had a mk1 jetta in what I think maybe the same colour and that was regatta blue??

hello mate that is not ancona blue, i now that for sure, i think Mr. gti might be correct

marsredgti, yes the car may well have been at Jack Walker because the previous owner (dave seaman) lives up that way. i could tell you what it was having done there if i looked through the pile of receipts he gave me! it certainly wasn't having the front jacking lug looked at tho, cos it gave way last weekend  

Mr-GTI, i guess my next best chance is to go buy another small bottle, this time in Regatta Blue. I hope you and Dojo are right! I can't see your picture right now (work's net blocks photobucket)

have you gto the paint code? The paint code sticker shoudl be on the lip of the hatchback closing panel
