campaign side decals (not the lower ones)

hi all, obviously the campaign comes with the lower decals on the bottom of the car but, i have seen some with a thin decal stripe below the black side trims. i'm in the process of restoring my campaign and just want to make sure it's as accurate as possible.
any help on this subject would be very appreciated.

Do you mean the one you saw had an extra thin decal just underneath the waistline black metal push-on strip?

did the campaigns come like that from the factory or was that stripe only applied to certain cars.
forgot to add, my car is mars red.

I don't think Campaigns had this extra decal as standard. It would probably be mentioned in the 'Campaign Checks' section on the home page if they did. There's Drew's Mars red Campaign to look at too, and that doesn't have the extra decal.
Not sure why some Mk1's have one though. I've only ever seen them on black GTI's.  :dontknow:

As far as I know, only the Black GTi's had the silver stripe below the side trim, that's why you've only seen them on black ones  :wink:  :mrgreen: . Mine are missing at the moment (had a respray 18 months ago) but they were on there prior to the respray.
