Cabrolet roof leaking
Unfortunately when left stood in heavy rain the water appears to get blown up the drivers and passenger window and over the top on to the seats - nice!!
Is the seal between teh windwo and teh roof replaceable - am I missing an easy fix??

can also lubricate the seal with some silicon to ensure its soft and flexible.
when door closed, window should be up nice and tight against that seal and the seel will slightly roll/buldge over.
welcome amd if yaa can get some pictures up.

I have the same trouble. Keep it indoors else with a half cover (halfords cheap as chips).
How do you adjust the windows/doors? Is it a DIY job?
cheers

doors can be lifted but i think theres a seal on there which can be replaced.

This seals wear on the far left and right edges and allows water to drip through the mechanism which holds your roof down.
I think VAG still do the seal, about ?120 + Vat though
Probably be worth looking around first.

to adjust the closed position then you can loosen the strike pin adjust and the retighten. while you looking at this check the strike pin still has its plastic collar on. If its broke then you may want to replace anyhow. Parts avail either from VW direct or fleecebay.
As for replacing the seal, fairly easy but you would have to check on availability/price. Simply remove one screw near windscreen and slide out. If it doesnt slide the pull out but be care full not to break plastic tab at the stricker end. Could get awkward if someone has gunked up with sealent if hood has been replaced. When you put new one back lubricate with wd40 and then slide back. Just before the screw hole lines up put a small amount of sealent on final cm and pull into place and tighten the screw.
