cabriolet roof leak
I've got a 1989 clipper with a roof leak, although the hood is not damaged. It's leaking at the top of the windscreen around the handles. I've tightened the handles as much as I can but it still leaks, and in heavy rain, it leaks a lot. I've thought about changing theroof seal, but they're not cheap and I don't want to waste money. Any ideas out there??

As Jelly has stated, You should also check the roof has not gone porous.
The vynil does that after some time, there is also a small area that you need to apply sillicone too. It's the first screw hole you come to when you remove the first side seals. You need to remove the seals and the metal holders first and then replace the foam gaskets,
then the metal holders, then apply a good dollop of sillicone around the srew hole and screw. Then fix down. Then slide the rubber seals back in.
Another tip is be carefull as the metal holders have plastic clips in the ends that the seals go up too, these snap off if your not aware.

still no good if the foam gasket seals are gone. Make sure there is some sillicone sealant around the front screw holes under the rubber seal it's self
