its quite simple,   drop the roof for access, remove rear seat (base and back), remove the rear door cards (i know there is no door lol) you now have access to the self tappers that hold the covers on, remove the the press button and the plastic covers, you now have access to the bolts, whilst roof is down and the tennsion has gone, go into the boot and under the shelf supports there are some bent over clips, straighten those up (be careful they sharp pointy things), remove roof fabric from clips under shelf support.

now with the access there are 10mm nuts on a cable, this is the rear tension cable, undo this with spanner (ratchet wont fit) and remove cable on both sides, lift roof back up but dont fasten it down, you will notice some 17mm bolts, 3 on each side (i think) remove em all, get a mate to help lift roof off as its heavy.

last bit, grab a beer and put tools away.  Hope helps

Thanks for this, drinking a beer right now after sucessfully removing a decent top and frame at a scrapyard today.

Tools needed were spot on, 10mm, 13mm and 17mm spanners, a socket set came in handy, but not necessary.

One hickup though, the 10mm nuts attached to the cable that hold the roof down at the rear, they wouldn't come loose, the cable twisted as opposed to the nuts loosening.

Sorted it with a pair of long nose vice grips on the end of the cable, hope this helps someone in the future.
