Cabrio Front Wings. Are they galvanised ?

I am just about to have my first attempt at painting with a compressor, spray gun etc

I have a friend on hand with experience to offer guidance (or condolences)

The wings I have for my tintop are off a cabrio

I just wanted to make sure they werent galvanised and I am told I might need to use etching primer

Were cabrio wings ever galvanised ?
