cabby roof

im on reshelling my 83 cabby got roof on off old shell and not fit its to tight only a little bit dont want to stretch it as its like new its only about half inc so does any boby know how to ajust the sod
before i bring the big hammer and nails out  

thought the only way was to adjust the cable at the back of the roof? through the two adjusters on either side of the rear of the car?

other than prising the glue off the front?

Is it just the hood cover? Or the whole roof your trying to swap?

If it just the cover then you will need to get it nice and warm, it will stretch but the warmer it is the easier it will go.

think thats what it is i tightened the wire down think must be to tight
     bit like my self   haa haa
