cabby roof removal??

Hi guys,

Could anybody help me in answering a couple of questions, I have a 1992 clipper cabriolet thats going into the body shop this week for a full paint. I've stripped the car ready but am unsure as to how to remove the roof? Do I have to strip the vinal off the frame first or can I remove the frame and vinal skin all in one go? Its an electric roof and to be honest I don't want to break it! lol!

Any help would be very much appriciated.

Thanks.  :)

Simple,
Undo the rear tensioning wire and un tuck the hood from the channel.
look under the parcel shelf supports and see where the headliner is held in place with the spikes. Push open the spikes and remove the headliner, gently peeling it away as it is also glued into position.
Next take off the plastic covers either side of the rear seat, look as to where the struts go to and you should see the bolts that hold the hood to the body it's self, and you will see 3 large bolts, these need to be undone, plus you'll see another bolt to the rear of these. Undo the brackets that hold the hydaulic rams to the car. Be aware that the hood when undone should be lifted by two people, as it is heavy.
