cabby rear panel question???

Hello peeps,im finding it hard to find a rear lower panel/valence for my 1980 cabriolet mk1 golf.Have they discontinued that panel?Would a lower panel from a hatch fit?could i make it fit?or are they totally different??
any help would be muchly appreciated.
