Cabby hood removal query

I have some rust around the rear of the car where the hood sits just above the boot, and was wondering is it possible to loosen off the wire that holds the hood on here and lift this part of hood up to sand down and respray this part of the boot without having to remove the whole hood???
Any advice would be appreciated

Take the back seats out,plastic trims etc etc, there is a 10mm bolt on a thread (both sides) bit aukward to do, this loosens the tension cable… better to replace it with a new one off ebay (£10 ish) as yours would off probably perished with age.
