Bumpers

I think my bumpers are a little faded to say the least

is it true that some mk1s came with grey bumpers rather than black or where they all black bumpers?

From memory seen blue and brown I think but not grey

somebody might want to clear this up, there were blue and brown dash boards for sure. maybe my imagination is getting a bit  carried away

Never blue or brown in the plastic bumper style in the pic (at least in the UK….)

But….non-GTI had grey bumpers, and GTIs had black ones. Not sure if the base models had black too, ie if it had a chrome trim it was always grey.

Pirelli edition (on the continent only) had colur coded bumpers and later clipper kit cars (convertible only by then) had colour coded ones too.
