Broken Seats

Hi All

Off to see a Campaign next week….One of the problems with the car is that the seats do NOT drop forward to let people in the back, the gentleman concerned said that he thought the 'wires have come unattached…..cud this be a 're-wire the seats job' or a replacement job.
(I think there was a thread a couple of months ago but can't find it)
Any help would be appreciated

You can put the cable back on if it has become detached or replace a broken cable, but access is not easy. Check if you can see if it detached by pulling the knob and cover off the side and look n with a torch. Also check at the bottom hinge where it pulls the locking plate out. If nothing can be seen your going to have to take out the centre section of the seat back which is a pain.

you need to check which cable it is mate as there are two  one is easy to replace the other is more difficult.when you pull the seat retraction arm , check which of the lock arms on the bottom of the seat are working if any.

Check if the lever you lift up for tilting seats forward does actually move. Mine seized not long after I got my Campaign - it was the metal 'hook' that locks the seat back that needed freeing. A bit of WD40 and some heavy-handedness soon freed them!
