Boken trunk lock

Hello

I am now the proud owner of a 1979 VW Rabbit and i am having a problem opening the trunk. the lock on the trunk will not turn so that it unlocks, i have also looked inside the trunk and see no way of getting it open.

any help would be appreciated and thank you for reading.

You'll have to unseize it, could try taking the small panel off the back and liberally squirting WD40 or similar in there and wiggling the key back and forth.
