Archwork

Hey guys,

I wanted to get to work on the arches but not entirely sure where to start to be honest.

What is exactly required to roll the arches? If i was to remove arch trims would there just be metal arches underneath that i could roll out? Also if it's dropped would you just remove the inner arch trims for more clearance?

Also if anyone knows could body shops in or around exeter that'd be a big help. we've got marsh barton which is a huge trading estate where there's loads of bodyshops but i don't wanna go to a cowboy.

Thanks

right a few things to deal with….

1) take the plastic arch covers off and look under there… chances are its not pretty! the plastic arch covers tend to hide the crud and the rust

2) the inner archs are not like on modern cars on the mk1 so there isnt much to remove so to speak, if you are catching them by running so low way you have bigger issues really

3) arch rolling can and does cause the paint to crack, so you could be looking at a costly respray of the arch area…something to keep in mind, but even then you need to be verry low and running wide wheels to catch..
