arc welder stick will it do the job

im gona fit new rear arches on my mk1 cabrio but wnt to do it cheap as poss but not bodge so it falls to bits in a few years, i need some ideas :dontknow:

Hi Paul - everyone will tell you that MIG is by far the best way to go - easier to get to grips with than arc welding.

Do a search on posts by 'markwon' (Think i got that user name right!) as he posted photos and description of how he MIG'd his new rear arches on.
