anyone in or around glasgow help with cabby leak?

theres water pouring in through the top corner where my drivers door meets the roof seal, kinda behind the roof handle. its been to 3 different garages and comes back worse every time. im just back from a coachbuilder who couldnt have been less interested.
theres a good inch of water on the floor which has built up in 2 days since i took the seats and carpets out on friday to dry it all out. im at the end of my tether with this, the cars unusable as the drivers seat is always soaking and its my only car.
i know this is going to be something simple to fix. it went into a garage about 2 months ago for something completely different. the door had dropped a little so i asked him to sort it. the car has NEVER had as much a drip before. when i picked it up the back was flooded. i got nothing but excuses from the guy so took it elsewhere as i just wanted it fixed. 2 more garages have also failed to fix it and the problem just seems to be getting worse.
is there ANYONE around that knows what theyre doing that can have a look? im getting pretty desperate here! im starting to think that ill have no option but to break it for spares if i cant get this sorted soon cause the cars just going to rot. it would be a real shame to have to do this cause theres nothing wrong with it otherwise.
if anyone can help please can you message me?

cheers.

Sorry dude, don't know much about cabby roofs..

There's a couple of guys on here with cabby's around Glasgow, wee tony & divweir spring to mind…. there may be others. Maybe pm them & see if they have any ideas :dontknow:

the hood replacement guide on here looks quite comprehensive, might get some ideas from that too? or some of the other threads on leaky roofs

You could also try SVAG forum, there may be someone on there

I know from experience that sorting a water leak can be a pain in the rear end !!!

Good Luck

Normally foam  seals.

But make sure the final roof rubber seal pulls forward to touch the points were the roof front locks into the header part.

it's the seal in picture 3 with the screw sticking out.

aye replace the foam seal bits.
Also between where the rubber seal fits into the metal channel put some mastic sealant stuff from the front of the rubber to about 5" or so backwards.

This tape is a perfect match for the original VAG stuff:
