A Couple of questions

Hi Guys,

Has anyone ever fitted a fibre glass clipper kit and have any good experience of it, heard all about the bad ones!

Also what fixings are used to fit the kit, is it basically screws and sealent??

im a painter by trade . i honestly dont know what the origonals are made from , i would have thought an abs plastic or grp maybe . i have unfortunatly fitted fibre glass ( yes corsa`s , mk2 astra , renault 5, ford focus and wings on vectras etc ) kits and i think there a load of **** . the moulds are normally very thin and flimsy with alot of surface defects that will need filling and double priming to get rid of . and the fit aint much better either .
normally fix onto the underside of the wheel arch with screws into the inner arch sheild and a bead of seam sealer around the wheel arch to hold ot in place .
these kits normally hold water in and create horrors with rust . if u talk to any one whos done a restoration they`ll always tell u that its a bit of a cliff hanger taking off over arches or a body kit cos u necer know whats underneath them ……..rust ,
it may be worth lookin on ebay for an origonal kit .
