Which head would you put on a 16v 9a block, 9a or kr

Hi i've been looking through threads trying to get information on this,
i have a 2.0l 16v 9a complete engine
and a 1.8l 16v kr complete engine, i'm putting this into my mk1 & will be using the 2.0l block
but i'm not sure which head to use?
this is what i've gotten from what i've read,

Early KR 026/027 have larger inlet ports(well the divider is smaller) and smaller exhausts
051 kr 9a heads have smaller inlets(larger dividers) and larger exhausts
051 early abf same as 9a kr
053 abf same port design as 9a kr, but with a dished combustion chamber.

If the 9A is 92ish or newer, it's EXACTLY the same as an ABF head. On the later 9A/ABF heads the combustion chamber
is dished where as the KR /earlier 9A heads have more sharper sides to the CC.

the 9a head also has this going for it: cooler running/less pink risk with the water jacket in the inlet

i have been told by a few people to use the kr head for better power results but with such a small differance is it really
worth using?
the 9a head does have an extra water jacket in it so, is it the better option seen as the differance's are so small?

my plan was to use the kr cam's with whichever head i decided on but are abf cams better to use or is there aftermarket cam's
that would be better?
dont want to use anything that will have it running to rough on tick over

any advice/help much appreciated
Thanks
Wesley

kr is the best option i'm told. doing this conversion myself when i get some funds. i think there could be a slight compression ratio increase that gives a slight power increase. torque from 3500 on the one i seen.
kr cams are best suited. give best all round performance. 2 exhaust cams can be fitted. not done it my self but from what i'm told/ read a slight loss of torque for a increase in top end… i know its a valver but ya still want a lil something bottom end…ish!!
i seen a mk2 with kent 272 cams which had a claimed 175bhp. standard apart from slight port and polish.
hope that helps a little.. i have not done this myself yet just thought i would pass on what i hve found out make it a bit easier for ya!
