just remembered after i put the engine in that i need this to inform DVLA!!

also do i need to tell them the new weight of the car?? if i do how the hell do u weigh a car??

All done now just waiting for the fittings for the fuel lines to the metering head and sleeve the manifold to my exhuast system
cranked it over today just to make sure its working just cant wait to hear the thing fire!

I doubt that the wieght of the car is significantly different, so you probably can insert the wieght that you have on your existing V5 (The weight change issue is only relevant when you make significant changes to a vehicle, eg: changing the body on a lorry, coach, etc). If you do need to weigh it, there should be a Council weighbridge somewhere near you (within 20 miles?)

I have an Audi 80 2.0 16v (ACE engine, but almost identical to the one you have). I think the number is at the top of the block, just under the head gasket, as it faces the radiator (when mounted tranversely in a Golf). I'll have a look under my bonnet later today and confirm…
