Where to buy DX Valve Shims?

As the title really, can anyone point me to where is best to source valve shims for my solid tappets?

My 1978 Mk1 Scirocco has shims and I refurbished the head when I restored it and I got my shims from VW, I worked out what sizes I needed and they ordered some in for me. I don't think they was much money so give your local dealer a call.

The hardest thing I found was working out what thickness the old one was as the writting had worn off so I had to use a micrometer to check the thickness. I have made a note of what I fitted and what's in there so next time I can work out what I need with out having to remove the cam and shim to read what's in there, there is a special tool to remove the shims with out removing the cam but I don't have one of those and it's only 8 bolts holding the cam in.
