What Rad??

I have a 20vt agu, which keeps over heating…..

I have a very minimalist bay, using a top fill radiator.

I am looking for a bigger radiator with twin fans or to have one fabricated at worst.

Just wondering what everyone else is using? I have looked at hundreds of Rads but nothing seems suitable, i have also searched loads of sites and threads but no solution yet.
It does`nt nessacerily have to be top fill but still want it to be neat and minimal.

I have been looking at impreza Rads recently as the expansion bottle is fitted next to the Rad, also Bmw Rads that have been suggested before.
This problem is really starting to get to me as i cant find a definitve solution. Not sure what size of engine my radiator came out of but it seems very small……

I have wasted money on a few rads trying to get them to fit with no joy and really want my car on the road for the summer.

Any one got any ideas???

 

you near yorkshire?, south yorkshire radiators near wath upon dearne are experts when it comes to rads! probably on net somewhere

There seems to be an industry standard for radiator height which is a bit taller than the Mk1/Mk2 radiator. eg Mk3 golf and onwards are this tall.

you can get a rad the same height as the Mk1, but longer - for example Passat Mk2 TD is a bit longer. Also Corsa 1.5TD (Mk2 shape) is less high than others, altohugh you'd need to adpat pipework etc since its inlet and outlet are opposite ends.
