what is this on my dials (gti)

ok was looking the other day an seen this thing in the corner saying 12 an a switch thing what is it av found a pic if you dont no what am on about



its on the right hand corner???? :dontknow:

It switches the MFA between journey so far (within last 2hrs of engine being switched off?) and combined total so far.

Later GTI MKIIs (and later GTI Cabbys?) had the switch more conveniently located on the stalks

If you pull it towards you, it resets all the trip data as well.

It should have a little stick protruding out of the hole - Is it missing in that pic?
