water pump

hi i bought an water pump from ebay as new ment for a mk1 1.8 gti went to fit it 2day and my pulley will not fit it the hole in the middle of my pulley is to small any body no why this is and how to fix cheers

if you live near southampton you can have an old water pump for £10 ive got a spear kicking about somewhere!
