using flushing oil from gsf??
never used flushing oil before but i want to give my 130k gti a flush out before i change the oil and add some slick 50.
now i take it its just a case of draing the oil as normal then running the engine with the flushing oil in for a set time then draining again.
do you have to then flush it with engine oil then replen again, or can you go straight from the flushing oil to your daily use oil and slick 50??
cheers

Run the engine for 10-15 mins to get the oil heated up (and thinner). Drain (wear gloves and watch out for splash back cos the oil will be hot). Fill with flushing oil and run the engine for a bit. Drain again and re-fill with your own stuff. Nice and easy.
It should have full instructions on the container.

Buy really cheap oil (proper weight). Change it every 50 to 100 miles (don't worry about the filter) until it comes out clean. Use 1/2 quart of ATF, if you want (higher detergent). When everything is clean, change the filter and put in good oil.
You can do the same thing with the coolant using just distilled water. When I do that I usually pick an afternoon and change the coolant every couple miles until it is clean.
I only bother doing that when I just get a used car. After that, normal maintenance does fine, but I still have bright bright green coolant after 12 months.

Remove the sump and clean that out before you flush it , easy to do and only costs a new gasket . This could be full of crud that flushing will not remove .
good tip m8, will do that then
