Twin 40s doce

Need some help
i am building a 1,.6 gti, its a 83 and i have done loads so far, but i am now at a point where i need to decide what direction to go.
At first the plan was to go orignial route and do restore, but i think i prefer to go down a moding route. i am not after loads of power,but i fancy doing something a little different using the 1.6 engine.
i am thinking of taking off the injection system and fitting twin 40s so what i am after is any info u guys might have on this conversion, also looking at fitting cam and manifold ex system.

Twin 40s will result in less power than standard. I'd be tempted to leave it as standard on fuel injection, or bite the bullet and do a 2.0 16V engine conversion.
