STEAM/OVERHEATING????

Thought my motor was overhearing this morn, but when I popped the bonnet the steam was coming from midway down the engine, then started a bit ropey…any clues?

any pics? sounds liek maybe the front coolant flange which is a common problem, or one of the hoses to it

thats what I'm hoping, I'll take a pic, how could I tell if its the head gasket (which it was what I'm worried it is!)

you would usually see other symptoms like pressurised coolant and oil/water mix, though not always!

its not usual for coolant to leak out the side of the block i f the gasket goes, though its possible i guess
