stalling

hi evry1 …ive got a little problem with stalling…wen i bought her she stalled within an hour and i looked at evrything and narrowed it dwn to the dizzy cap(it was loose and didnt seem to b sat right . so i got a new one (and put it on the right way :banghead: ) which has worked for a while but im still stalling evry now and again…is this a common problem  :dontknow: or do u think i need a new rotary arm? any thoughts

Judging by the number of posts on related issues, its a common problem. Firstly, check the ignition timing, mixture and idle speed are set properly. Once these are okay, work logically through the ignition system to find the faulty component. Swap testing with a known good component can help.

Also.....keep to the service schedule. When were the plugs last replaced, and are they the right type for the engine? etc.

Did you get genuine dizzy and rotor??

Ive had GSF ones that may aswell have been made of cheese!!!!!

The dizzy should sit firm, or at least mine does

Why is it definitely electrical?

i think its electrical because the fuel filter isa clean the tank is clean so i cant see it being fuel or injection related and wen it dies its a sudden death not a jerky death   if u know wat i meen

it seemed to get better when i changed leads ,plugs and dizzy (less frequent stallin)  but not completly cured ….why wat do u think it mite b ???
 any suggestions r definitly welcome

it could be lots of things. For example, loose LT wiring, fuel blockage, dodgy fuel pump relay, dodgy hall sender, dodgy coil.
