Slow starting and unreliable on damp wet days

Hi all,

My mk1 1988 1.8 gti cabrio is driving me crazy with starting issues.  Itsjust seems to really struggle on damp days.  Has anyone any idea why damp cold conditiond would effect it so much.

non-german ignition parts leads,dizzy cap & rotor arm  :dontknow: these engines run hot & dont like cheap leads with out heat sheilds etc

Injectors have nothing to do with problems starting when its a Damp Day
.Mabe your HT leads & other ignition parts are past there Best , try Lots of WD40 on HT leads & dizzy & see how you get on .
