Is this shimmed or hydraulic tappets?

I  think you are going to have to take the cam cover off to check.  

Most heads have the same or similar part numbers of that era and is not a guarantee of which is which.

You might be lucky and be able to see with the oil filler cap removed and look in…..

Toad, all the hydraulic heads I've seen have came with a plastic splash sheald inside the rocker box. It's not 100% science but if you CAN'T see the rocker shaft then more than likely it's hydraulic, unless of course someone has fitted on of these to a non-hyd head !! Best idea as Nick says take the cover off and check.
