when were the ht leads last changed, pull them off and have a look at your plugs, check they aren't black.
this would be the first things to check cause they pretty simple to diagnose.
if they're ok it will be a pressure, problem or an air leak. hth

A mechanic diagnosed it as my fuel metering head, so i changed it and it didnt make any difference. I ended up changing my pump, accumulator filter none of this helped. untill eventualy i changed the injectors and it went like a rocket.
Basicly i think it could be any part of your fuel injection system.
Having said that i would check your spark leads dizzy cap and rotor first cos its cheap. like lakesk8 said

Sounds like a fuel delivery issue to me. Search for Prowlers injector Test. Give that a go & report back…
If you had done this test at the start then you could have saved yourself a lot of time, effort & money…

Looking back though, its been to a garage - I'm sorry if this is another moan but it really narks me off, that there are garages out there, taking money off people, who basically mess around and can't troubleshoot/fix cars any more! K-Jet, yes its mechanical, but in the era so were half the fuel injected cars out there so its not exactly a rare or weird setup!!!!!!! I'd be tempted to take a large fish with you and ask to see the mechanic who worked on your car in person……
