Ive a 92' Golf GTI Sportline, I had an oil leak, so i jet washed the engine, found it came from the rocker cover, i replaced the rocker cover gasket with the rubber one from VW heritage and hey presto the oil leak was solved! this was 2 months ago and it now the leak has come back! I've tightened the rocker cover but still no joy. does anyone think i should actually change the rocker cover now? and where would i get one from please?

did you change the studs for ones without a shoulder as part of the conversion?
the tin covers can warp, sometimes some careful bashing on a flat surface can straighten but its fiddly as you need to do this on the inner mounting face and the outer lip can get in the way.
