Rocker Cover Cracked!

I,ve only owned my 1990 cabrio 1.8 gti for about a month and i've just found out my rocker cover has got a huge crack in it!  My qustion is! With it being a 1990 spec cabrio is it a mk1 or mk2 engine rocker cover i need? also, when i change it what gasket would you recommend i use? Original cork or new silicon type? Any help would be greatly welcome! Thanks Mark.

does the rocker cover breather have a filter on it or is there a pipe to the airbox if the latter tis mk1

not many cabs had the mk2 tbh maybe 92/93 but im not sure

Post up the engine code.  That way we'll know for sure.  As c-au-l says, only the very late cabs had Digi.

I'd go for the original.  Can be a little tricky to get right.
