Random cut out..please help

:banghead:

Hi guys,

Ive had this problem for ages! Now…it doesnt matter what im doing where im going or if im stationary or not, it just cuts out randomly?? Ive taken my car to the garage for the MOT and to see if they can sort the problem out as ive tried with no luck at all!!!  Its a lot better since this visit but It used to cut out and then only start again if a left it for 5 mins or so but since visiting the garage its a lot better but still does the cut out, the difference is that now it will start up agian straight away but i have to push the accelerator pedal to the floor so its almost like im forcing it with access fuel…to get it running again.

Any ideas??

I have checked the fuel tank for corrosion etc and all seems fine. Had the ht leads changed which helped big time. Had the car mixture recalibrated.
Changed the module (cant remember the name), had the injectors replaced about 2 years ago.

I hope this all helps guys sorry for the waffle but thought i would tell you the full story.

Please help peeps

I assume this is the cab in your sig? ;)
do the revs just drop to 0 when it cuts out? does the rev counter ever go mental? do the warning lights in dash come on or do they go out too (battery + oil)

Yeah just drops down to Zero.
Rev counter only goes up and down when i start up from cold.
No warning lights come on…as far as battery and oil im sure they come on after the stop but i cant be certain on this

if the lights come on when it cuts out suggests fuel or ignition cut in engine bay, if lights dont come on then this suggests ign switch failure :)

not heard of the pattern ones being bad, but if you suspect it then no harm in getting another :)
