radiator conversions.

Hey there guys I'm wanting to change my radiator in my 1.8 gti cab to a top fill radiator and remove my header tank has anyone done this and could you tell me what top fill tad will fit my car.cheers guys.

early mk1 or scirocco, plus you need the metal pipe from the engien or weld up the spare fitting, or block it off with a short section of pipe with a bolt in it

Thanks for the help mate is there any particular engine with the same size radiator? Also will the fan and cover swap straight over?

it'll be 1.6 gti one you want, i think its the same size as your old 1.8 rad but not 100% sure. if not you'll want a 1.6 mk1/2 carby rad shroud, then your old fan should swap over
