oil light flashing

Slight problem since iv had the car, Oil light flashing very inconsistant
weather its warm or cold, Driven hard or normal. The oil pump, Pick up pipe and both oil preasure sensors have been changed too. Im thinking possibly wiring fault bad earth or possible wrong oil preasure sensors have been fitted, is there possible differances between them? The oil preasure has been checked and its fine its just a bit annoying when your driving it… Can any1 shed any light is it a common problem   Thanks ian

Quite a common problem, wait till the buzzer keeps sounding as well, drives you up the wall.

Never heard the buzzer but a replacement  clock change cured mine .

Yup - there is another option.  Pull the sump off, clean the "gause" on the end of the oil pump pickup tube with fuel system clearner as this can get a light film over it which impedes the efficiency of oil scavange from the sump.

Other thing it's worth doing whilst you are at it is to clean up the oil breather gause in the rocker cover as this can get carbon deposits stuck in it.  Once blocked the oil pressure will go through the roof and you can even get oil coming up past the dip stick tube.
