Oil leak!!! Please help

I've got my Golf in bits at the moment trying to cure an oil leak.

I'm replacing the sump and gasket as it is bent and the rocker cover gasket with a rubber one and new studs.

The problem is that the majority of the leak seems to be on the underside of the bonnet and all over the wishbone and driveshaft on the timing belt side of the engine.

Any ideas anyone as I can't figure it out!!! :banghead:

Because of the locations you say you see it, I would look into a bad camshaft/intermediate shaft or crankshaft seal (or more than one). The oil can drip onto the pulleys and V belts which flings it around.

I was thinking maybe that. I was going to change all of them but I might just do the camshaft first and see if that cures it, or do you think I should do them all??? :dontknow:

Cam would be the simple one to change, but when you take the cover off if it is not wet then I would check them all first. If one or more is leaking then there should be some oil there to be seen. Of course if you do have to go deeper then just change them all for future leak insurance, you have it almost completely apart at that point.
