oil from base of disptick guide
I have a small oil leak from the base of the dipstick guide where it fits into the block. how does the tube fit into the block? is it just a push fit or threaded, welded??
would there be enough pressure in the system to force oil through this area and is it a worry? suppose it is very close to the oil pump.
what is the best fix for this, cant get mole rips on it without crushing the tube?
any ideas??
cheers

I took this off as part of my engine rebuild. It's basically tapered splines mate.. very tight fit. I wouldn't use pliers etc just grab it and force it in. It may just not be put in correctly.
