new headgasket but still oil in water!

hello there,

recently replaced the headgasket due to oil in the water. took her for her first drive today and upon checking the water, oil had gotten into the expansion tank again.

i was wondering if the head could have got warped thus the leak still being there and so considering a new cylinder head. is there anything else to look out for or should a new cylinder head solve my problem?

cheers cav

Its good practice to skim the cylinder head if you have a head gasket failure. Did you check it for flatness?

Second that if you've an oil to water type oil cooler, between the oil filter and the filter housing, these are good for mixing oil and water.

I think its sorted guys..

I had the head skimmed when the head gasket was done and nearly all the pipes off and cleaned.

Took the oil cooler into work today, blanked off one of the pipes and submersed it into a bucket of water. Stuck an airline on the other end and Had bubbles coming from one of the holes for the oil.

Ordered a new one today from gsf and will fit it tomorrow,

I'll let u know if it works,

Cheers cav
